This painting is an illustration of coming to the Father with living faith for revelation of His call on your life. The story this painting reminded me of is in Numbers 13 when Moses sent the spies into Canaan to scout this promised land. The spies came back with a discouraging report full of negativity and fear. Caleb was one of those spies. He saw the same things as the others; his eyes saw the same strongholds, the same barriers, the same giants in the land, the same milk and honey. But his response was different because his focus and faith were not in himself or his physical nation. His living faith kept him in a place of knowing that God was the one who would empower them to be victorious and fruitful in their promised land. This painting represents coming to the same place of choosing to press into the promises of God with a heart full of living faith.
